Setungoane (Stu) Letsatsi
Setungoane Letsatsi joined Edufundi in 2022. She has been in the field of education for almost 16 years supporting different interventions from ECD, Education Leadership and Management, Emergent Literacy and Maths, Special Education Needs, and Curriculum Coverage. Since 2008, she has gained considerable experience working in middle management roles and these exposed her to both implementation and financial management. She has worked in organisations with different backgrounds and organisational size. These include Wits Education Policy Unit; Johannesburg, UNICEF; Lesotho and Catholic Relief Services and Save the Children South Africa, Programme to Improve Learning Outcomes (PILO) and most recently Wordworks based in Cape Town. She holds an M Ed from the University of Witwatersrand with a focus on Policy Studies & Education Leadership and Management.
Tia Loubser
Tia has been a member of the Edufundi team since 2001. Starting as a personal assistant, she has grown with the project and has been instrumental in the advancement of all aspects of Edufundi projects gaining extensive knowledge and experience in the non-profit field. Tia has twenty years' of experience in administration, design, accountancy and advanced computer skills. Previous work history includes experience in public relations, graphic design and marketing. Tia discovered a passion for exercise in October 2015 and started her own part-time business offering fitness classes. She has since obtained diplomas in Group Personal Training (NQF4), Personal Training (NQF5) as well as Metafit, MetaPRO and MetaPWR instructor qualification.
Dorinda Saunders
Dorinda has been with Edufundi since 2010 and is responsible for mentor co-ordination and administration, as well as event co-ordination, with a particular focus on our Lead Like a Champion project. She works closely with the mentor support team to ensure our mentors are fully supported to carry out their daily work. She has completed courses in Advanced MS Office, Introduction to personal Computers, Business Administration and Secretarial and Play based learning (birth to Grade 3).
Nwabisa Mange
Nwabisa joined our team as an intern in February 2016 and has since taken on a permanent role. In 2015 Nwabisa was a volunteer on our LiteraSEA Project, which aimed to improve the literacy levels of Grade 2 learners at Intshinga Primary. During this time she learnt valuable skills such as public speaking, leadership, self-management, negotiation skills, storytelling and how to work with children. Nwabisa is able to offer first-hand insight to the project and the community. She studied a Business Administration course and has previous experience as an intern at Fezeka Municipality.
Part-Time Support Staff
Robin Pocock
Robin started working with Edufundi in 2018 as a monitoring and evaluation consultant. She specializes in G-Suite data management systems for NPOs. Robin holds a Master’s Degree in M&E from the University of Cape Town and has ten years' of experience working as an M&E practitioner.
Surefire Communications
Surefire is a communications team specialising in the non-profit sector. Surefire has been working with Edufundi since 2018 assisting the organisation to develop communications strategies and manage their communications portfolio. The team collectively has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector in South Africa, each with our own specialist knowledge.
